NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY
BUDGET HEARING FOR THE

2026 FISCAL YEAR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the preliminary budget for the Town of Lyme for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk at 12175, NYS RT 12E Chaumont, NY where it is available for inspection by any interested person during normal business hours, Monday thru Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Lyme will meet and hold a Public Hearing thereon at the Municipal Office at 6:30 p.m. Thursday November 6, 2025 and that at such hearing any such person may be heard in favor of or against any item or against any item or items therein contained. Any other business that may come before the Board will follow. Pursuant to Section 112 of the Town Law the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified are as follows;

Supervisor $16,874

Deputy Supervisor $7,288
Councilman (3) $6,201

Superintendent $78,781

Tax Collector $7,542

The Town of Lyme Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on November 5, 2025 at 6:35 at the Chaumont Fire Hall to hear the cases for a subdivision of the Heath property on County Rt 57 and a Special Use Permit for K Bennett, 7828 NYS Rt 12E. TOWN OF LYME
NOTICE OF ROAD PAVING

To: Residents of Three Mile Bay and Surrounding Areas

Please be advised that the Town will be conducting road paving work in the following areas:

• Church Street, Three Mile Bay
• Bayview Drive, Three Mile Bay
• A small section of Old Town Springs Road

Work is scheduled to begin tomorrow September 30, 2025. During this time, there may be temporary traffic disruptions and limited access to driveways. We kindly ask for your cooperation and caution while traveling through these areas.

The Town of Lyme Veteran’s Park 12200 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY 13622 will be closing October 20, 2025.

The Public Docks will be pulled on October 1, 2025.

Please call the Town of Lyme Office with questions 315-649-2788.

Beginning at 9:00 AM on Monday, October 6th, the Town of Lyme and Village of Chaumont Office Building will be temporarily closed for mold remediation and repairs.

During this time, please use the drop box located at the front of the building for any in-person payments. For updates and information on meeting locations, visit the respective municipal websites.

We expect to reopen on Monday, October 20th.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to our cleaner, and safer offices.

Please note the Town of Lyme Board regular meeting October 8th will be held at the Chaumont Fire Hall.

The Town Board of the Town of Lyme will be holding a series of Budget Work Sessions to prepare the 2026 Town Budget. Additional business may be addressed following each session, as necessary.

The Town of Lyme is accepting sealed bids for a 6-foot by 12-foot equipment trailer. The trailer is in working condition and available for inspection at the Town Highway Garage.
